Even if you don't play golf the views from the club are spectacular. You can park the car from several locations and just enjoy the view. If you do play golf, I recommend the back 9 holes if it's a decision between 9 or 18 holes so that you get to enjoy the bay while playing. The course itself is…
Take a ride to the top of the hill past Waitangi Museum and venture on to the Gold Club for Burgers and a coffee or beer. It's open to anyone and the views are a must. It's got a large old school clubhouse and the best vista around.
A stunning 18 hole golf course with beautiful sea views. All visitors welcome.
Even if you're not a keen golfer, the scenery is amazing. We highly recommend the 19th hole (club) for a cool drink and fantastic kai!

“This beach runs from the Bluff down to Ahipara, and is great for a walk or surfing in the right conditions. A 4WD is a must have, as is knowledge of the tides - you don’t want to get stuck with the tide coming in! If the surf isn’t right on the East Coast, you can use Ninety Mile Beach as a highway to pop down to Shipwreck Bay, Ahipara. ”
