Ruth's favourite "coffee & cake" stop off point: Napton Village Stores, in possibly one of the best village shops, postoffice and cafes, that I know of. This is a perfect place to order breakfast or brunch, buy a newspaper, browse the crafts and gifts or treat yourself to a nice coffee and delicious cake after a long walk, bike ride or trip to the canal. Somewhere to refuel.

Recently reinvigorated and now a great source of great local produce from buffalo burgers to gin. Also has a cafe.. oh and is still a post office!
