Another lovely place for hiking and bird watching is the Great Neck Wildlife Sanctuary in nearby Wareham. It is only a short drive away, and definitely worth a visit. massaudubon.org/get-outdoors/wildlife-sanctuaries/great-neck

This is a 110 acre property with 4 miles of trail meandering through pine forests and old carriage roads. It's a great trail for an easy walk with ample bird watching.
