A must see if you're in the area! Within the National Forest is the protected area of Sipsey Wilderness. Many trails and sites including, "The Big Tree". There are quite a few rules about hiking and camping in Sipsey so make sure you read up before you go! Local favorite hikes: Sipsey Big Tree and Sipsey Trail 206 to Needles Eye. With Bankhead National Forest within a thirty minute drive of the home, excellent hiking is nearby. Recommended trails include: - Sougahoagdee Falls: 36 minute drive - Caney Creek Falls Trail: 38 minute drive - We recommend downloading and using the Alltrails app to find local trails that are the length and level that you desire!
