29km. The Corlea Trackway is an Iron Age trackway or togher, near the village of Keenagh, south of Longford, County Longford. It was known locally as the Dane's Road. It was constructed from oak planks in 148–147 BC, making it contemporary with the Siege of Carthag.

Hidden away in the boglands of Longford, not far from Kenagh village, is an inspiring relic of prehistory: a togher – an Iron Age road – built in 148 BC. Known locally as the Danes’ Road, it is the largest of its kind to have been uncovered in Europe.

Corlea Iron Age Timber Roadway 148 BC • Sightseeing The timber roadway is a wonderful piece of archeological history and so worth seeing including the surrounding bogland, flora and fauna.
