Peet's started the coffee scene in the US back in the 70's--pre Starbucks. Right down the street, fresh beans (this is where I buy our beans), and nice staff to take care of you.

I just take a pleasant walk for three blocks to go to Lakeshore Plaza for shopping and have a cup of coffee.
