One of Toronto's top bakeries. San Remo's is the perfect spot to grab fresh pastries, bread, cakes, donuts, etc. They also have hot food - make sure to grab one of their huge rice balls on Thursdays/Fridays.

It's on Royal York, just South of the QEW (highway). Never had a chance to go myself, but heard amazing things about it

Places like this are what sets Toronto apart from other cities. Walk in and get in line for some great savoury specials like their veal or chicken cutlet sammies topped with delicious grilled peppers and sweet tomato sauce slathered over a fresh Italian bun. Solid value!
