Settimio al Pellegrino serves a limited menu of conservative Roman classics to a loyal local clientele. Booking is highly recommended.
This is a traditional Roman restauarant for which time seems to have been suspended. Menu is the same since 1950 and the restaurant had some important reviews from known ccokers. Try it. It is an importanta experience back in time.
The ladies in the kitchen have been cooking the same dishes for years and it is just like home. Try the famous homemade tagliatelle or the polpette (meatballs) and side veg dishes. Don't miss dessert.
You eat whatever Teresa has prepared that day: usually two pastas, a meat, and a fish. Sometimes they have stracciatella, an egg soup you almost never find anymore. It’s real cucina casalinga [home cooking], but it’s delicious.
