7.6 Miles Away. 16 Minute Drive. Outstanding park for children and adults (as well as adults who want to be a child again). Jogging paths, nature trails, Barbeque grills, playgrounds, covered areas available for group rental, and a real, working farm with animals for children to get up close and personal with. The lake is open for fishing. They run a summer program for children who grow and maintain vegetable gardens, and tend to the animals, including cows, horses, sheep, etc. A sheer (pardon the pun) delight for all family members of all ages.
