Best fossil hunting, long walk down to the deserted beach filled with unique old fishing huts.

Wear shoes for muddy walks! Slightly challenging walk down to the foreshore but Port Mulgrave is amazing for fossil finding.

This is a fossil hunters paradise. It is a great place to visit with older children as it is a steep metal stairs to climb down and back up. The path is uneven and care should be taken. Having said that it is worth a visit but it isn't a sunbathing beach. Parking at the top of the cliffs is limited so you may need to park down the road and walk to the path. Take a picnic and refreshments as there is no cafe, shop or toilet facilities at the Port but there is a lovely cafe on the main road.
