The last Tuesday of every month at The Virgil, Warp Zone is a free show that gets some of the biggest alternative comedy stars: Pete Holmes, T.J. Miller, a lot of guys from Comedy Bang! Bang!, Kamail Nanjiani who’s on Silicon Valley. It’s a New Yorky-feeling club—as if the independent comedy audience from Brooklyn was brought in to Silver Lake. Tuesdays the happy hour begins at 7 p.m. and goes late night.

The Virgil offers delicious, fresh-squeezed juice cocktails coupled with an emphasis on an amazing rum, tequila and mezcal selection plus a full selection of vodka, whiskey and beer favorites as well. The stage room features incredible live talent, djs, dancing and special events on select nights, and the "b side" bar opens regularly Tuesday through Saturday at 7pm for happy hour and drinks until 2am and always promises great craft cocktails coupled with enjoyable background tunes.

If you're looking to have a very local, chill night seeing some stand up comedy I HIGHLY recommend going to the Virgil on a Monday night for Hot-Tub hosted by Kurt Braunohler & Kristen Schaal. It's only $5 if you buy your ticket online and $8 at the door. Doors open at 7pm and the show starts at 8. It always attracts a good crowd so if you want to get a good seat I would get there around 6:30 to get in line because we always get a seat when we do that. This bar also has Djs on weekends if you want to go out to dance or hang out Fri or Sat night.

Local bar walking distance from the unit. Check the online calendar as they have great happy hours and comedy nights.

2 Rooms, 2 bars. Smaller room is more relaxed with sometimes a DJ in there. Bigger room has a different style of music altogether. Catch some good comedy here as well on select nights. Best of all no cover and walk from home.
