Ferry to the City but beware, there are 90 odd steps down to the wharf. Neutral Bay wharf is better for the return journey or if you have luggage.

Closest ferry wharf - there are about 100 steps up from the water though

Beautiful wharf ferry stop: Wonderful cafe to have breakfast at (name escapes me, but there are only one or two!).
