Approximately 25 minute drive, but so worth it. It’s a must see. You can take a very easy (and flat) hike to the falls along the water, or for a quick stop, check out the overlook.

located in Ulysses, NY (about 30 min away). Google it for directions. It’s a gentler gorge if your group involves seniors or little ones. The most daring of the gorges we recommend are: Carpenter’s Falls, Buttermilk Falls, Letchworth State Park and Taughannock Falls.

This is a very easy and beautiful short hike to the tallest waterfall east of the Rocky Mountains. It’s a must go for anyone’s first time visit to Ithaca

This park on Cayuga Lake is the best for picnics, swimming and boating. There is a trail leading to the bottom of the spectacular waterfall.

After you’ve hiked the gorge or rim Trail at Taughannock, driver across the road for a picnic or swim at Cayuga lake. There’s a large playground and areas to bike or kayak.
