Most of the historical areas of interest have already been noted under sightseeing. However this point has been added as there are many festivals throughout the year, although mostly in summer. Look at bulletin boards and the tourist agency diary. Srres LezArts, is a wonderful arts festival in late September for 3 days with works of art displayed in pirvate places throughout Serres. Serres also has a jazz festival in June. Sisteron has a big arts festival with theatre, classical music, opera thoughout July and August with events always held in historical sites. Lagrand church events are a must purely because of the acoustics, etc et etc
