My son can spend an entire day in the dinosaur rooms alone, but he also loves the Hall of Human Origins. Beyond the famous exhibits, the Discovery Center holds all kinds of hands-on stuff for kids—dinosaur bones, microscopes, archaeology. It’s all designed just for kids ages 5-10. Controlled, timed-entry keeps the Discovery Center from getting crowded. So as soon as you get to the museum, get your timed entry ticket from admissions. That way you can enjoy other exhibits while you wait.
Visitors love the American Museum of Natural History off Central Park West. Whether you're exploring the interactive exhibits on the land, the sea or outer space; user reviews take on a common theme. This museum is incredible. Even the cafeteria and gift shop are worth your notice. There are…
Educating and entertaining destination for the entire family. Make sure not to miss The Great Blue Whale and Dinosaur Skeletons. Recommended visiting time is three to four hours, but you can definitely spend the entire day wandering around all four of the museum's coloured zones.
Nestled across the street from Central Park, explore the natural world, and the known universe.
If you're kids are familiar with "Night of the Museum", check it out... It's close, but a bit too far to walk to. Free admission. Do not let them talk you into the $70/person suggested donation. Also, bring snacks... Cafeteria is a madhouse!
It's just very beautiful! I love it...I can go there many days and still be amazed! I am in love with history.... this is a very beautiful museum and there's a gift shop store on one of the floors which has gifts for everyone and not expensive :) I hope you can go visit it too :)

“A walk, peddle, or carriage ride through the crisscrossing pathways of Central Park is a must-do on anyone's New York City itinerary. In winter, you can even lace up your skates and glide across Wollman Rink. This huge park in the city center, a half-mile wide and 2.5 miles long, is one of the things that makes New York such a beautiful and livable city. Besides being a great place to experience a little nature, Central Park has many attractions within its borders, and most of them are free, making it one of the few cheap things to do in NYC. Some of the most popular places to visit include the Belvedere Castle, Strawberry Fields, the Central Park Zoo, and the Lake. If you are exploring the park on your own, start by picking up a map at one of the visitor centers and plot your routing.”

“The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, or simply, "The Guggenheim," is one of the most well-known art museums in the country, and it's just as renowned for its cutting-edge design as it is for its pieces. The coiled building (designed by Frank Lloyd Wright) stands out on Fifth Avenue at 89th Street. Inside, the halls are chock full of some of Norman Rockwell's, Pablo Picasso's and Wassily Kandinsky's best work. Travelers agree this museum "never fails to impress." Visitors loved the building's design and architecture, and the variety of works housed within. Located on Manhattan's Upper East Side, at Fifth Avenue and 88th Street, you can reach the Guggenheim on the 4, 5 and 6 trains to 86th Street. It's open daily from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. except on Tuesdays and Saturdays, when it closes at 8 p.m. Admission costs $25 for adults, $18 for students and seniors with an ID; children younger than 12 get in for free. Plus, on Saturdays, the museum features a "pay what you wish" policy (though $10 is suggested, cash only) from 5 to 8 p.m. If you purchased the New York CityPASS, you get discounted access to this museum. You can visit the museum's website for more information on current events and featured exhibitions. ”

“The world's most magnificent Art Deco skyscraper, it's a living piece of New York history and an instantly recognizable symbol of city culture today. Standing at 102 stories and 1,454 feet at its pinnacle, the Empire State Building was the tallest building in the world for nearly 40 years after its completion.”
