Don't forget to buy a parking pass before parking at the diggins. You can buy one at the little ranger office in the historic town of North Bloomfield. (A ranger may leave a courtesy notice on your windshield if you don't pick up a pass before parking.) This location is central to California's hydraulic mining history.

This park and museum functions to preserving the largest hydraulic mining site in California, United States. The mine was one of several hydraulic mining sites at the center of the 1882 landmark case Woodruff v. North Bloomfield Mining and Gravel Company. Unique landscape, and historic sightseeing.
