Beautiful setting, slightly elevated, but really close to shops etc. Around Christmas time they have a community Christmas Tree display where local groups all decorate a tree.

Nelson, despite it's small population, is classified as a city thanks to its Cathedral. It's not particularly beautiful from the outside, but inside has stunning stained glass windows and a peaceful atmosphere.

The Steps lead to Nelsons Cathedral, it is in a lovely setting and a place you can get a good view of the city's main street from. Look out for events that are often held in this beautiful building.
