Named for its luscious vegetation, Green Swamp is a 870-sq mi recreation area and wildlife preserve which is easily accessible from Lakeland and Dade City. The headwaters of four significant rivers—Withlacoochee, Hillsborough, Ocklawaha and Peace—intersect in the park, which is also home to 330 species of wildlife.
