Relaxation: Bring your rod and reel for some fishing at the pay lake or sit on one of the many swinging benches perched on the lakeside to enjoy the gorgeous scenery. Kid-friendly: the park features several playgrounds, picnic shelters, and even a splash park to beat the summer heat.

The entrance to the Barboursville Park is very closeby. From the entrance, it's just a short drive to all the park has to offer. Visit their FB page at Barboursville Parks and Recreation for details on current events. There is a splash park for the children during the summer months (opens around Memorial Day), several picnic areas, swings, playgrounds, ball fields, summer programs, mountain biking, walking trails in the woods and around the lake (fishing pond). Sometimes there is live music too. The Barboursville Soccer Complex, at 633 Deer Park Rd, Barboursville, WV 25504 is closeby too.
