There are SO many access points to the wilderness area. The CDT runs through the Anaconda-Pintler range. Hikers and equestrians love this gorgeous place. The quickest access points from Georgetown lake are from Storm Lk and East Fork. I highly recommend having an Anaconda-Pintler map and bear spray, which you can buy at Pintler's Portal Hostel in Anaconda. The Pintler Ranger Station in Philipsburg will also provide detailed information about the area and other (shorter, easier) hikes not in the wilderness.
