This is a great hike on a well maintained, albeit busy trail through the forest with views of the Cedar River watershed, Mount Si, Mount Washington, Rattlesnake Lake and Chester Morse Lake.

If you’re up for some serious elevation gain, the views at the top of Rattlesnake Ledge never disappoint. Check the Washington Trails Association website for the latest trail conditions.

Access the Ledge trail head from Rattlesnake Lake. If you’re really adventurous the Ledge trail goes on for miles along Rattlesnake ridge. The Ledge trail starting at Rattlesnake Lake takes you up a moderately steep trail to a beautiful outlook. Pictured among these photos.
