The place is full of history because it exists since the beginning of the 1900's. Today, the tradition of the French "bistrot" remaines very present and participates in the beauty of this restaurant. The set, authentic and bourgeois, is very delicious. And the service is really nice. The menu is generous and varied: there are 22 appetizers between 5.70 and 19 € and 20 dishes between 15 and 28 €! 21 ways are proposed to perfectly end a delicious meal with cheeses and sweets, between 4.60 and 14 € as the chocolate Charlotte with biscuits "Rose de Reims" with its vanilla sauce. 🕑 Everyday exept 24th December dinner. Coal and lemonade. This is what we found at 13 Rue de Charonne in the early 1900s. The notes of the accordion were accompanying bar tour after coal ones. Hospitality and warmth, friends and guests emptied a glass while laughing and imagining the future combined with the new millennium still far. At the late 40’s, Mr and Mrs Paul take over the place and retain the essential such as the phone cabin, still present. Artists or anonymous, patrons or foreign customers, a table was always available for them. Since 1988, Mrs Thiebaud preserved all this praxis. Daniel Karrenbauer continues to turn this tradition into what we can call the ‘family spirit’, at Chez Paul Restaurant.

Chez Paul can be quite "touristy" but the food is delicious and very french, the wine is fantastic and very french too and the prices are more then reasonable!
