Foz do Lizandro is a well known surfing beach that not only caters to beginners and intermediates, but also to advanced surfers. On a good day you can get powerful tubes here, but most of the time this break is a forgiving beach break that is perfectly suitable for beginners and intermediates. There are multiple peaks with both lefts and rights, so it’s the kind of wave where you’ll surely find something that pleases you. It is very consistent surf spot. The beach hosts a boardwalk with many restaurants and is a great place to spend the day on the beach with the family as well.

This beach is perfect if you have children. There is a river that runs from the sea which allows younger children to play safely in slightly warmer water that is only max 4 feet deep. For those looking for waves the sea is right there with the high waves for surfing. As this enters the river children can safely try body boarding on the little waves. Lots of free parking and a nice beach restaurants, try Barbatana for delicious healthy food options!

Foz do Lizandro is very popular for surf lessons, there are many cafes/ restaurants there, and there are much less rocks. If you would like to take a surf class you can just ask at the beach, there are several shops that offer. If you want private class for your family I can get you in touch with a good friend that gives very good classes.
