The ultimate in kids parks! Just built this summer it has a splash pad, sand pit, slides, tires and swings. Our daughter loves the 1km walk down the river to this park. It also has picnic tables.

The new Lions Park playground was voted as one of the best playgrounds in the Lower Mainland by readers of the Vancouver Sun. Featuring the iconic tractor tires from the original playground, the new play area is a lively, colourful place that encourages children to be physically active, play with others, and have fun. The area includes: - features to challenge and entertain both younger and older children, including a sandbox, climbing structures, swings, slide and zipline - inclusive features for children of all abilities, including those with autism spectrum disorder, with vision, hearing and physical impairments, and other disorders - a rubber surface made of recycled tires - parent seating Railside Outdoor Youth Park The RailSide, Port Coquitlam’s outdoor youth park in Lions Park (Lions Way & Shaughnessy Street) was officially opened on Sunday, May 8, 2005. At 40,000 square feet, the RailSide is one of the largest and most innovative outdoor youth parks in B.C.
Spread over 2 acres of Lions Park, the RailSide boasts: - a large street park - urban terrain area - a monster serpentine skatebowl unit - a 350′ long funtrack - basketball/hockey/sport court - lots of green space for hanging out and spectating The RailSide recognizes our youth population’s unique needs and provides a safe outdoor venue for youth to be involved in community recreation. Youth, parents and the RCMP helped bring this project to fruition.
