“The grounds at Howth Castle are beautiful at all times of year. One of my favourite places to walk my dogs, whatever the weather! The castle itself is a private family home (the family have lived there for 600 years!) but they welcome walkers and visitors to walk the grounds. Wonderful views across North Dublin and the sea if you walk up past the Castle to the upper car park. For even better views take a short hike up through the Rhododendron trail up to the rocky outcrops above the estate which provide an almost 360 view of Dublin Bay and the city.”
