Hawk Island is a small park, but a good one. Connected up with the Lansing River Trail, it offers a beautiful walk around the lake, as well as access to winding nature walks that you'd never expect in the heart of Lansing.

Nice trails for riding or walking, splash pad, swimming, paddle boats, and a large play structure. In the winter they offer sledding and hot cocoa at the concessions stand.

Fun park. Connects to the River trail for miles of walking, running, or biking along the grand river and Red Cedar. Has a splash pad for kids in the summer. Swimming in the lake. Playgrounds, pavilions, tubing hill with lift. I believe there's a small per-car charge at the gate.

Great park with plenty of paved walking trails around a small lake, a huge section of woods to the north, and plenty of picnic tables, pavilions, and even a swimming area.
