I can provide all necessary gear upon request, or you’re welcome to bring your own to practice with. • After we make introductions and go over safety guidelines, I’ll help you set up your gear and demonstrate proper stance and grip. • First, we’ll practice basic casting techniques on grass. I’ll offer personalized guidance and corrections to help you address common issues and refine your form. • Then we’ll move to the creek to practice on the water, and I’ll demonstrate how to adapt the same techniques we’ve just learned to real fishing scenarios. You’ll take away new skills—plus expert tips to improve existing ones—as well as resources to help you build on this practice session. Downtown Sunset Kayak with 1.5M Bats!

Welcome to Austin's #1 booked tour! I can say with confidence this is the best group on the water. April 9th Update: The bats have been amazing and we have brand new kayaks! Come join us. Let's meet up for an epic night of kayaking. It's 4 incredible trips in one. 1st you paddle the length of downtown during the day and then we catch the sunset over the water. The bats are the main event and we end with downtown paddle at night! Add in a full moon or bright stars occasionally and this trip is one not to miss! If trip is sold out, ask if I can fit you in. Cuddle with Kunekune Pigs for Adults Only

***Follow @halbertfarm on FB or IG for updates and to meet the pigs before your visit*** This experience is for 18+ only. Message us if you want to book a kids experience. We will start the experience in the backyard where you will meet Ripley the house pig. You'll learn about the history of Kunekune pigs and what makes them so unique. If we have younger pigs that are living in the backyard you'll get to meet them then too. I'll have treats prepared for you to feed the pigs and you'll learn how to make them sit and get their treats. Then I'll take you to meet the adult pigs first the girls and then the boys. We have 20 pigs that make up "Halbert Herd" and their ages range from 4 months to 9 years. You'll get to feed the adults treats and they love getting attention and being petted. Most of them will lay down and want their belly rubbed. If we have piglets you'll get to spend time in the piglet pen, depending on their age, you may be able to feed them treats and when they get to be about 3 weeks old they will crawl on your lap. Other things to note Make sure to wear closed toes shoes, pigs like to chew on toes. Rain, hiking, mud boots are great options. You will get dirty and we will be outside. Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. Long pants work better even when its hot because we may walk in tall grass in the pastures.

Electric Bike City Tour of Dallas

Join us for a memorable ELECTRIC BIKE or E-BIKE tour of Downtown Dallas, Deep Ellum & Fair Park on our tour led by locals that highlights local history, art & natural surroundings. Our tour is a 10 mile ride featuring one hill at a social pace & is for beginner to intermediate cyclists. We do have the ability to customize the route depending on your needs & abilities. We will rent you one of our own electric bicycles which allow the rider to truly customize their experience. There is a pedal assist option so you can just sit back & relax! Cycling provides us a way to social distance & be outdoors. Equipment is sanitized between riders. We begin by fitting you on your rental & doing a safety check. You will want to bring your own, $, sunglasses, water & a small fanny-pack or mini backpack if you have items to carry. The tour starts by going through Deep Ellum to the popular Deep Ellum Blues Wall as well as other murals. We will then head to the Trigger Fingers Wall followed by Fair Park. On the way back, we will wind through Downtown Dallas & stop at sites such as the AT & T Discovery District, Dealey Plaza, Dallas City Hall & Pioneer Plaza. We conclude at Farmer's Market & have a beverage with an option to stop for beignets from Le Bon Temps along the way. Photos will be taken & a memory video compiled. There is a restroom on the route.

Meet the Kunekune Pigs for Ten Years Up

We occasionally get requests for 18 and under guests and now have a dedicated experience for 10 years and older. Please be mindful that your children know not to chase or hit the animals. Pigs are extremely smart and sensitive and some of ours came from a previous life and are still learning to trust humans. We will start the experience in the backyard where you will meet Ripley our house pig. Depending on age group and how comfortable the kids are they will get to pet and interact with various pigs. They will get to feed some of our more well behaved pigs cucumbers and carrots. All of our pigs know how to sit for treats. Others they get to meet through the fence. Our younger pigs still jump and get excited for food. They will get to meet them but won't be able to feed them. We have a strict no chasing the animals policy. If your child chases any animal, pig, chicken, dog, etc while on our farm you will be asked to leave. This is for your safety, the animals, and future guests. Other things to note You may get dirty and we will be outside. Pay attention to the weather and dress accordingly. If you want to bring an extra pair of clothes to change into after, you can use the bathroom to change and freshen up. If you have rain boots or other type of mud boots you can bring those to wear. Your shoes will get dirty! Pigs explore the world with their noses.
