It is the home of the Australian Grand Prix, as well as a range of ovals, parklands, a golf course with mini golf, and other sporting venues like the Melbourne Aquatic Centre and Lakeside Stadium which is the South Melbourne home of the now Sydney Swans AFL team.

A favourite Melbourne Suburb for tourists, on the beach and close to the city. Plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes with a lively atmosphere. I’d recommend having a meal or drinks and one of the places on the beach on a nice day, visiting The Espy one of Melbourne’s oldest and most famous live music venues but also great for a drink, and a visit to Luna Park theme park which has the historic scenic railway roller coaster which has great views of the city /beach from the top!
