NGV International houses an extensive collection from Europe, Asia, America, and Oceania.
The National Gallery of Victoria is Australia's oldest art museum, founded in 1861. It's home to an eclectic collection of nearly 70,000 works of art, with international and domestic exhibitions
Numerous exhibitions to see. Most are free while some other extraordinary ones need a ticket.
Wonderful collection, not overwhelming, and definitely worth a visit. The Arts precinct around the NGV (The Arts Centre, Thé Concert Hall etc) is a great part of the city near the Yarra River.
A must visit if you appreciate art. Put aside a day or atleast an afternoon. Then walk to the botanical gardens (25 minute walk) and smell the roses!
Plenty of things to look at and affordable if there is an special exhibition
Always an amazing display here. Make sure you check their opening hours before venturing down.
National Gallery of Victoria - see the classics and look out for touring exhibitions - most recently Jean Paul Gaultier!
