This creative & beginner-friendly workshop will take place in our backyard greenhouse patio, surrounded by fresh air and plants. Each participant will receive a unique & portable terracotta pot to paint & customize using a natural & locally-harvested Cochinilla Dye made from scratch by the shop's owner and founder, Andi Xoch, as well as a small plant to take home! We’ll begin with a fun introductory exercise & a brief history on our business & Cochinilla dye, which has ancient origins in the Americas. We’ll explain how to use the provided materials & show you some finished samples; as we guide you through the design & painting process, everyone will get an opportunity for one-on-one tips as you sketch your ideas & dive into painting. High-Desert Climbing in Joshua Tree

There's no better way to experience the scenic views of the High-Desert than being up on the rocks. We provide customized rock climbing trips in Joshua Tree National Park from first time beginners to experienced climbers. Our guides will meet at Quail Springs Picnic Area BACK parking lot (by the BATHROOMS) in Joshua Tree National Park and outfit you with a harness, helmet and rock climbing shoes. You will also be provided you an overview of the trip then select a climbing location best suited to match your experience and ability. Once we are all done with that, we will stay at Quail Springs Picnic Area or caravan deeper into the Park. When we get to the climbing site, we will teach you how to belay a climber and manage the climbing rope. You will also learn safety checks and verbal commands used in rock climbing. Depending on the size of your group, we can add rappelling to your trip. When you book a rock climbing adventure, you will experience the world-class climbing in Joshua Tree National Park. Prepare yourself for fantastic climbing, great company and an awesome adventure! Other things to note Private Instruction: We do not mix groups! Blossom Peak Ranch Experience

Come join us for a unique and interactive farm tour experience! Guests will have the opportunity to meet and interact with rescue animals on our ranch. Located in the quaint town of Three Rivers California, just a few minutes from Sequoia National Park. During your experience, you will be given ample time to pet, feed and interact with our friendly animals in a beautiful, scenic setting at the foot of Blossom Peak. We have many horses and donkeys that would love grooming and treats. Meet our friendly chickens! All of our goats love attention and will enjoy a little play time or just a few cuddles. We even have a cow that loves a scratch behind the ears! Occasionally, we have baby animals that might need bottle feeding or extra care. High Horse Malibu offers private and semi-private (up to four riders) horseback rides in one of the most secluded and scenic areas in Malibu! Our trails traverse rolling hills, wooded canyons, and striking rock formations, with sweeping ocean vistas around every corner! A one of a kind experience you won't forget. Right after you book you'll receive an email from us collecting some basic info (physical stats, riding experience, etc.) so that we have the perfect horses tacked and ready when you arrive. Upon arrival you'll be introduced to your guide and acquainted with your horse. We start every ride off with a ten to fifteen minute riding lesson to get you comfortable and confidant. When everyone feels good - we hit the trail! There are plenty of opportunities to take photos and enjoy the beautiful scenery along the ride. La Jolla Bay is a Marine Protected Area that is home to a thriving ecosystem that boasts a high concentration of sea life, has a natural boat launch, which allows safe ocean entry year-round, and is famous for its Sea Caves and Marine Reserve. No experience is required. Great for all skill levels. Your guide will kick things off with a paddle tutorial on the beach. If surf exists, we will help push your kayak through any breakers. As we paddle through La Jolla’s Marine Reserve keep an eye out for Seals, Sea Lions, Sea Turtles, Pelicans, Dolphin and Gray whales in the fall/winter. Note: We cannot guarantee sea life. If conditions are safe, we will help guide your kayak into Emerald Cave. If it's not safe to enter Emerald Cave, we will still paddle out & explore La Jolla's World-Famous Marine Reserve. Best of Berkeley History Walking Tour

Hear about the history and culture that makes Berkeley one of the most intriguing cities in the world. We'll stroll through campus and the surrounding areas. This activity is 100% outdoors, and attendance is limited so the conversation can flow more easily. We'll meet in front of the Berkeley Art Museum (BAMPFA) at 2155 Center Street. Along the walk, we'll learn about the City of Berkeley's historical origins and recent developments, then we'll cross through UC Berkeley's campus alongside tree-lined Strawberry Creek. We'll talk about the Free Speech Movement and Berkeley's protests then and now. Finally, we'll walk the historic route from Sproul Plaza to Telegraph Avenue, which has several cafes and restaurants if you’d like to grab a beverage or a bite to eat after the tour. Berkeley's famous bookstore, Moe's Books, is also at the end of the tour, where you can buy Pam's Berkeley Guidebook: Adventures at the Vortex of Ideas and Audacity. Playing with a micro mini cow and her barnyard friends

Farm Animal Fun at Adobe Acres Ranch

Join us in the barn and pasture for farm animal fun at Adobe Acres Ranch! You will get to pet, feed, brush, and take selfies with our herd of happy farm animals and get to learn what it's like having miniature potbellied pigs, goats, sheep, miniature donkeys, and chickens for the evening during this farm adventure! The guided Farm Visit is approximately 1hr long and will start in the pasture with our four miniature pigs (such an oxymoron, though! They're still pretty big!) where you can add food to their bowls and watch them chow down... as you can imagine pigs do :) Then, we will tour the west barn and see their night enclosures where we will touch on the topic of backcountry animal husbandry and answer any questions you have about caring for farm animals. The barn leads into an open pasture where you will have the chance to feed, pet, brush, and take awesome photos with our two miniature donkeys, two pygmy goats, and maybe even our two shy sheep (they're... well, sheepish is a good way to put it! Ha!). You also have the option to deliver hay to their feed buckets with us for the evening and tuck them in safe & sound in the barn for the night. Your farm host will be happy to take photos of you during your visit so you can post your pics with our sweet animals to show just how much fun you had at Adobe Acres Ranch! I will meet participants and take them to seldom visited local spots and teach them basic phycology (marine algae science) and sustainable harvesting techniques. Not only will participants partake in a unique experience surrounded by breathtaking scenery, but they will leave with the knowledge of how to sustainably harvest nutritious seaweed for themselves for years to come. We make an amazing seaweed Ramen in the traditional Japanese form at the end. Other things to note I WILL SEND YOU EXACT LOCATION AFTER BOOKING > We will be harvesting edible seaweed.
