If I'm going to surf here, it'll be a morning surf, because generally the wind comes up in the afternoon. It's a straight beach and the break is close to the shore, so it’s actually a really gnarly and dangerous wave. I wouldn't necessarily recommend everyone surf here, but it's still pretty fun to watch when the conditions are good. There’s an old surf movie called Runman 69, and the majority of it was shot right at Zuma.
The Pacific Ocean and iconic coast of Malibu, a very short ride through the Santa Monica Mountains to sand for your toes. Enough said.
Zuma Beach is less populated than most of Los Angeles’ more famous beaches. This is the beach you want to go to if you want to go for a swim, a romantic picnic, or just relax on the sand. Definitely more tranquil type of vibes.
f it’s sun, sea and sand you’re after then you’ll definitely want to head to picture-perfect Zuma Beach. Located in Malibu about an hour’s drive west of L.A., its sun-kissed sands curve gently along the ocean, overlooked by the majestic Santa Monica Mountains. Very popular with locals and tourists…
Zuma Beach is a county beach located at 30000 Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, California. One of the largest and most popular beaches in Los Angeles County, California, Zuma is known for its long, wide sands and excellent surf.

“30 Min away in Malibu is the Adamson House Museum. The tour is highly recommended as it tells the story of the how Malibu was the original playground of the stars and along the way was shaped by a woman ahead of her time.”

“Probably the most iconic Malibu surf spot and great for a traditional Malibu photo op, however, it's very shallow for surfing, despite having three breaks. Also, because it's such a die hard favorite it can attract some difficult characters. We highly recommend family's or couples looking for a more romantic time to enjoy the views from the Pier or restaurant, and spend their beach time at Corral, Paradise Cove or Zuma. Also, free street parking is usually non-existent, as folks often live in their vans there, but paid parking can be available either above or below the Pier. Again, just don't plan to park at the nearby for free at Cross Creek town center, as you'll likely get a ticket.”

“This spot is a local favorite and has something for everyone. Great for families and breakfast too. What it lacks in outer ambiance, it makes up for with its interior. Lots of healthy menu options and can go casual with pizzas and burgers or fancier with entrees. Also has a juice bar and cocktails. ”
