Cambridge University Botanic Gardens has 8000 different species of plants over 40 acres. The garden has been acknowledged as a world leader in both the managing of living collections and supporting world-class research. It has plenty to offer for the whole family including shop and cafe, a grass maze, and a schools garden which aims to teach the younger generation about horticulture. It is beautiful at all times of year and a great place to have a picnic in summer.

The Botanic Garden is open to visitors from 10am-6pm - we're delighted to welcome you, please see our website for details. An oasis in the city, this great Garden makes a great day out. This heritage-listed botanic garden was originally conceived by Charles Darwin's mentor and teacher, Professor John Henslow. The Garden's plant collections today number 8,000+ species from all over the world, displayed within 40 acres of beautifully-landscaped gardens. The Cafe, the Shop (at Brookside gate) and the mid-garden Plant Hut are open, all taking card payments only. We recommend that you wear a face covering in the Glasshouses, Toilets and Shop.

Large and superb botanic garden with a spectacular glasshouse. Thousands of rare and exotic plants. Close to centre of town and has a great cafe.

Cambridge University Botanic Garden. More than 8,000 different plant species are displayed in 40 acres of beautiful landscape in the city centre. It's the perfect spot for a picnic or a stroll and the attraction includes a lake, glasshouses, chronological bed, rock gardens and a collection of mature trees.
