Great place to take the kids on a rainy day to do a craft in the summer. There is plenty of YMCA staff there to help complete a craft in a short afternoon. Check out the website for other activities.
There is just a ton to do at the YMCA of the Rockies. One of our favorite places on their property is the Craft & Design Center. You don't have to be staying at the Y to use this facility. You can get more details on their website, but here is an excerpt: The Craft & Design Center is typically…

“The 3 mile walk around Lake Estes takes you through a bird sanctuary, past the marina, and through a meadow. There are places to sit and enjoy the views along the way, some good uphill sections, but mainly flat terrain and all on a paved sidewalk. You can rent paddle boats, pontoons, and four seater bikes at the Lake Estes Marina as well.”

“Not all things fun and Estes Park need to be outdoors. Kids and adults well enjoy a dip in the leisure pool, a cruise along the lazy river, a soak in the soothing hot tub, or a spin down the waterslide. Adults can also work out, play golf on the simulator, get in a few games of pickleball, or take a fitness class. Day passes are available.”

“The fly shop was named after his son, and now his son (Kirk) runs the place. Great family and extremely knowledgeable. Whether you are just looking for some quality gear, need to buy flies, or are a beginner wanting to learn the basics — this is the place to go! They also do snowshoe guided hikes in the winter.”
