This hike is a bit longer than ensign but has some rock "furniture" at the top.

A day hike that's right in town and always has plenty of free parking. I enjoy this trailhead, because you can choose how far or how difficult you want the hike to be. Sometimes I just like to grab a coffee and stay on the lower trails to enjoy the views of the mountains and the city below. The natural history museum and red Butte gardens are also located here and make for great day trips, as well!

Great short hike with overlook of Salt Lake City. Follow trails right and up. Hike till you find furniture made of rock slabs.

Distance - 15 minutes | This hike is relatively short but steep. The hike is relatively 2.5 miles round trip with nearly 1,00 feet of elevation gain. At the top you will be rewarded with a panoramic view of the SLC valley. At the viewpoint, you’ll see “furniture” created by other hikers out of the large flat sandstone slabs. There are several “chairs” and “couches” complete with armrests and ottomons. This is a great place to watch sunset – don’t forget to bring your headlamps for the hike down!
