平和を願う記念公園として、爆心地に近い場所に作られた。原爆が投下された８月６日、毎年式典が開催される。 The park was made after the war as a memorial. It is close to the atomic bomb's center detonation point. A yearly ceremony is held on the day the atomic bomb hit (August 6th) to pray for peace.
A beautiful and truly peaceful park right at the city center and home to several memorials and art exhibits personifying peace. It is also home to the Atomic Bomb Dome, the Aioi Bridge, and the Peace Memorial Museum.
