..... take a tour of the tea factory and witness the processing of tea, if you reach the factory in the morning... only 5% of the tea produced here is available in the local market, everything else is exported....

Happy Valley Tea Estate is also at the walkable distance from Feel at Home. It is 15-20 minutes walk. You can experience the view of Tea Garden. If there is a tea plucking season then you will get to experience how the Tea is prepared. This will be another experience you can add in your trip to Darjeeling.

Happy Valley Tea estate is a Tea Garden in Darjeeling District in the Indian state of West Bengal.Established on 1854,it is Darjeeling's second oldest tea estate.Spread over 177 Hectares(440 acres), it is situated at a hight of 2100 meters(6900ft) above sea level, 3 kilometers(1.9 MI) north of Darjeeling and employees more 1500 people.

Walking through a tea garden on the gentle hill slopes of Darjeeling and seeing the tea processing is always a special experience. And a great way to experience this is by visiting the Happy Valley Tea Estate which is located about 3 kms (1.8 miles) away from Chowk Bazaar area.
