Located a short drive from Birmingham this park has a plethora of activities for the entire crew. From paddle boarding, to hiking, to mountain biking, to golfing , and so much more Oak Mountain is one stop shop for those seeking outdoor fun. There is an entry fee of $5 per person.

Oak Mountain really has everything to name a few: (1.)Beach/Day-Use Area you can rent canoes and peddle boats, (2.)Fishing (3.)Hiking - The park has 25 miles of trails (4.) Treetop Nature Trail-an elevated boardwalk featuring rehabilitated large birds (5.) Horseback Riding and Equestrian Camping (6.) Golf -The park's 18-hole, par 72, public golf course. (7.) Hunting -Because of the abundance of deer in the park, permits are issued during certain times of the year to allow bow-hunters to take deer within park boundaries) (8.) Mountain Biking , (9.) Oak Mountain BMX Track ( 10.) Alabama Wildlife Center (11.) Oak Mountain Interpretive Center - Live displays include native species of snakes, fish, turtles, and salamanders, and other exhibits explain the area's geography and geology. (12.) Zipline (13.)
