If you are interested in renting kayaks, I STRONGLY RECOMMEND you consider doing this as it is very good value and in the midst of some of the most beautiful scenery on the coast. The Egmont Adventure Center (an internet search should take you to the link) offers you great packages that include lunch at West Coast Wilderness lodge and kayaking or boat tours up into Princess Louisa Inlet. Just be aware that Egmont is a 45-50 minute drive away. Don't worry, though, there is lots to see and do on your way there or on your way home!

The restaurant at the West Coast Wilderness Lodge in Egmont at the entrance to Princess Louisa Inlet, is simply stunning. With its high timber-framed windows overlooking the ocean and its Westcoast inspired menu, it is a dining experience you won't soon forget. (can you say Squid Ink Risotto?) Reservations are a must and it closes for the winter in October.
