A little drive away (about an hour), however it is well worth the trip. You can visit the old slate mines or take a trip on the steam train. Just seeing the views as you drive there is enough to make me smile.

Full of Welsh culture. 3 pubs. 3 supermarkets. Mainline trains / Ffestiniog Steam trains (1836 OLD). Baker on ITV bake off on TV patented the Kurdish pasty. Llechwedd tourist slate mine 1mile north
