This is a must! There are a lot of beautiful old buildings, churches, museums, restaurants and boutiques. It can be pretty crowded though, specially during holidays. If you are visiting the city in september or december, you have to go see the zocalo's decoration.

“If you’ve never heard of Trajineras, then you are in for a big surprise!! These are some of the most iconic boats you’ll ever ride in, think venician gondolas but bigger and more colorful. These unique boats will take you around the channels of Mexico City, you’ll learn about the history and the importance of them while also listening to music, eating some amazing food and seeing mariachis serenading people. There is never a dull time when you are on board a Trajinera. Let a local show you the right way to do Xochimilco.”
