Plan to spend some time here; there's a lot to see and explore! Bring your kite if it's a windy day (happens a lot on the island!)!
Historical. "Fort Casey State Park is a 467-acre marine camping park with a lighthouse and sweeping views of Admiralty Inlet and the Strait of Juan de Fuca."
If you love lighthouses as much as my family does, you must stop in at the Admiralty Lighthouse. While there, stop in at Fort Casey and check out the bunkers. It's pretty cool!
Great history, gun implacements from pre-World War II. "Triangle of Death" Ft Casey, Ft Ebey, Ft Flaggler would prevent ships from coming through to Seattle. Good kite flying, great place to picnic, great place for kids and families.
