Historic Akaroa has a uniquely French flavour and so much to offer, including weekend markets, dolphin-watching cruises (check out New Zealand's very own endangered Hectors dolphins!), walking tracks and food & drink galore. Beautiful little French settlement full of Fench Heritage. Awesome scenery/views. Lovely places to dine and just enjoy the moment. Also great shopping.
