A must see! Hop on the ferry in Fremantle and enjoy a 45 minute trip to the beautiful Rottnest island. Plenty food options available as well as a great bakery. Hire a bike or snorkels and enjoy all that Rottnest has to offer. The ferry port can be accessed by getting on the train in Mosman Park and getting off in Fremantle.

Rottnest Island is the perfect day trip. Just take the Rottnest Express Ferry from Fremantle and see the cute Quokkas and rent a bike to ride around the island. There are some good snorkelling spots and eateries there too!

See Kwokas in the wild. Cycle around the island to visit small beaches and pink salt lakes. Best to visit during the week to avoid the crowds, and the ferry trip is cheaper! You can rent bikes there or take your own across. You can take the ferry from Elizabeth Quay to get a longer river cruise and a view of Perth from the water or a quicker trip from Fremantle. I recommend leaving from Elizabeth Quay for a calm morning trip on the river and returning to Fremantle for dinner.
