This is the ultimate look out! Once you head to all the beaches I have listed you will end up at Whangaroa Harbour. Look up! That is Saint Paul's Rock. It isn't as steep as it looks and it is well worth it. Breath taking views from the top!

Drive upto the top of the Old Hospital Road, and trek to the top of the rock for a spectacular, stupendous, one of a kind view of the harbour. Or just trek from home to the top of the rock...its only a mile or so. Take a water bottle with you, and if you wish to spend time at the top of the rock, take some snacks with you. Its generally a bit more windy there than it is at the base of the hill..

One of Howard's favourite recommendations. Short walk, lovely panoramic views. Stop at the Whangaroa Game Fishing Club for drinks when you've finished!
