This huge park has the most incredible history—Henry VIII used to hunt here, and the Royal Ballet school is situated in the middle. It’s great for a run or long walk as there are wild deer roaming about and coffee stalls dotted around for when you want a break. One of our favourite places. Go and meditate by Pen Ponds at sunrise or sunset. It’s so peaceful and still.
We are literally 5 minutes walk from Richmond Park (Kingston Gate) where you can take a walk , go for a cycle or a visit to the historic Pembroke Lodge or the Royal Ballet School (think Billy Elliot) or simply enjoy the unobstructed view from West London to the City of London & St Paul's Cathedral.
This is simply wonderful - enjoy a stroll through Henry VIII's old hunting ground - go to Henry VIII's mount to see the view of Windsor castle in one direction and St.Paul's Cathedral in the other. amble by next to grazing dear but be careful during rutting season!
Great for a country walk in a big city. Hundreds of deer roam freely and the scones at the main house are good
Very large Royal Park, long and short walks with hills, ponds, wild deer and other wildlife, some views over the city of London.

one of the only places you can go in London and feel like you're not in a city. hire a bike and cycle around or take a long walk amongst the deer.

“Hampton Court Palace was originally owned by Sir Henry Moore who gave it to Henry VIII. It then became his hunting lodge on the banks for the River Thames. On a Sunday morning, you can attend the service in the chapel, or just visit the palace and the gardens for a wonderful day out.”
