This nearby storefront cafe has the best falafel, gyros,hummos, babaganoush, lentils, etc this side of the Jordan river. The owners are super friendly too and will let you sample anything on the menu. Be sure to say "Shukran" on your way out. ("Thank you" in Arabic)

defiantly one of the best, I like there Shawarma, this is one of the best restaurants here in BHM, they recommended as an arabic food restaurant, you should try that.
