A wonderful place a little bit far from town but it offers the tour boat for groups and also be able to spot wild animals on the way.

Great place for fishing, crocodile and bird watching. Lots of nature and can be toured by boat. This is a "non-touristy tour" offered by locals. You will learn how cocoa is made and refreshments/lunch is included. Ask Elida or Pamela your host for more info.

For birders this is a "must see" when in this area. You'll spend time on the river in a great place for birding and it's only 1.5 hours from Fortuna.

Caño Negro wetland, is a must to visit destination for all birder and wildlife nature lover. All year around, we offer different activities. Boat tour, hiking, canoe, fishing. We organize private and community tour for wildlife lover, birder and photographer. Also, a nice option for a night tour for frogs spotting.
