An endless sea of food stalls make up one wing of this Sunday-morning market. You can just grab something—Thai pancakes, crepes, roasted chicken, fresh bagels and lox, a pupusa—and eat while you wander. There’s usually a musician, and maybe someone doing balloon animals or face-painting. The kids feel like they’re at a birthday party. We used to go at lunchtime, but now we like to go early, at 8 a.m., for breakfast. Because at that hour the people shopping are mostly chefs picking up produce for that night’s service, and it’s not that crowded yet.
One of the biggest, and oldest farmer's markets the city has to offer. This Sunday morning market is great for grabbing some of the freshest food and flowers you'll find.
A little bit of a ways away, but the most famous farmers market in LA with TONS of vendors and possible celebrity sightings.
