this is an area to hike, snowshoe, cross country (no groomed) ski. There are two entrances on Center road. the main entrance which can be GPS'd, has maps.

A mostly flat forest walk that can be any length you want it to be. An American Chestnut revival study is being made there.

Lots of trails, mostly wooded, wildlife. There are guide maps and marked trails for you to explore. Bring bug spray.

Less than a mile from our cottage, Fox Forest has hiking trails from easy to moderate.

Probably a good twenty-five miles of trails in all. Lots of possibilities for short or long loops. Hilly, but not extremely challenging. Features include: beautiful pine groves, a swamp with ancient black gum trees, peaceful brooks, a bog with carnivorous plants. Maps are available at the kiosk by the HQ on Center Road.
