Wonderful destination for a sunny brunch or lunch. Most of the menu comes from the garden and you can wander round the amazing Victorian greenhouses too. Food is delicious and great wine list too.

Recently opened by some ex-Londoners. They have extensive gardens where they grow their own produce. Extremely good flat whites, extremely good breakfast, lunch and some tasty cakes. At the time of writing they only had the outside (covered) area opened but I imagine they will be providing seating in the glorious Victorian greenhouse once the weather turns colder. Make sure to have a meander through the gorgeous walled gardens and get yourself some enviable holiday snaps.

A bit further a field, Water lane is a beautiful restaurant just outside Hawkhurst - a good stop off on the way back up the A21 or just for a wonder out. It's in the grounds of St Ronins School which is a kind of Hogwarts (private). In the walled garden. We had brunch there recently & it was 5 star.

Have breakfast or lunch picked from the garden and cooked for you in their large outdoor oven. Shop in the lovely greenhouse shop and wander around the beautiful walled garden.

Have a garden influenced breakfast or lunch in Victorian glasshouses. The walled garden was once the kitchen garden to the "big house" (now St Ronan's school) whose owners acquired their wealth by inventing the stock cube!
